Mr Umaru Shuaibu
Shu’aibu Alhaji Umaru was born in the year 1963 in Kiri, Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State. He attended Kiri Primary School and proceeded to Mallam- Madori Teacher’s College where he passed out as a grade II Teacher in 1984. He was admitted into Bayero University Kano(B.U.K) where he read History/Islamic Studies and awarded B. A. (Degree) Second Class Honors Division in 1989. After successful completion of the National Youth Service Corps(N.Y.S.C) in Benue State in 1990, he was employed by the Federal Civil Service Commission as a Curator II and posted to the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation on the 3rd October, 1990.
As part of his Professional Experience he acquired competence in the areas of curatorship in Expos, Science Fairs/Exhibitions, Knowledge of the Metamorphosis of the Establishment of the National Science and Technology Museum Project which will serve as a repository of the Historiography of the Nigeria’s Science, Technology &Innovation Development. As part of the Capacity building in the Ministry, he was admitted at the Nassarawa State University to read Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) in 2012. After successful completion of his Postgraduate Studies, he further went to the National Institute of Archaeology and Museum Studies, Jos, Plateau State and pursued Postgraduate Diploma in Museology. Presently, he is in the final stage for the award of his Doctorate degree in Policy Analysis from the University of Abuja in the Department of Political Science.
He is happily married with Children.
